A first time visit to Apple Hill with Spencer featuring Gap + lauren conrad.
Since moving here, I've been welcomed and introduced to a variety of traditions in regards to this time of year. Last year, I went north to the mountains with the Backman's so that we could cut down our 15 foot Christmas tree, tie it to the roof of the car and bring it home. Growing up with artificial trees, this remains a memory that's magical, cold, dreamy and dear to my heart. The entire house smelled like pine for months. Or, on November 4th, we're celebrating the Fourth Annual National Soup Day, a holiday the Backman's made up where everyone who comes and participates makes a homemade soup and we spend the entire day trying each others. It's amazing to me that these things are the kind of things that I am welcomed to enjoy again this year and hopefully, for many years to come.
Since moving to Sacramento from Chicago, I had yet to go to Apple Hill. And with Spencer now home from his 1,200 Mile Walk down the California coast, we have decided to partner up together and work together more often—this being the first of many more official shoots that we do.
